The Plan

I'm still pregnant, so our plan is in motion! I'll go to the hospital tonight at 8 pm and begin taking cytotec. That will hopefully soften and begin to dilate my cervix overnight. Then my OB will come in on tomorrow morning and start pitocin at 7 am. At my appointment yesterday, I was 50% effaced with no dilation and baby's head was still up high (+2 station). So, this whole induction may not work. If, after a few hours I haven't made much progress, we'll ditch it and do the c-section.

I can't believe that this is my last day being pregnant! I'm having coffee with a friend this morning and Mr. C. and I are going on a dinner date tonight. I'm so excited but of course nervous about what is to come. Hopefully tomorrow or Thursday I'll have a wonderful update! Thank you all for your encouragement and kind words...it means so much to me that you have followed our journey and truly care about what is happening in my life.

Been following your story for a while and I'm so excited for you! You are following my first childbirth progression almost exactly! I was 40 weeks and 5 days on a tuesday. (Although I had been *slightly* dilated for a few weeks, but nothing was progressing). Then I went into labor tuesday around lunchtime. My baby boy was born late that tuesday night. Maybe the same will happen for you!!

And by the way - I'm 33.5 weeks pregnant with Baby Boy #2! Hopefully he'll come a week or two early. This waiting business is for the birds.

Good luck!
